While we carefully inspect all rods, reels, lures, and accessories before shipping, we understand that sometimes you might need to return or exchange an item. Our policy is designed with the same attention to detail we put into selecting our fishing equipment.
Our Return Policy
You may return most items within 15 days of delivery for a refund or exchange. To be eligible for return:
- Items must be unused, in original packaging with all tags attached
- Original proof of purchase is required
- Certain items are final sale (see below)
Non-Returnable Items
For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Books & Maps (if opened or used)
- Burley products (due to perishable nature)
- Hooks and Jig Heads (safety reasons)
- Any item that shows signs of use or damage not present at shipping
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
Follow these steps to return your fishing gear:
- Contact Us within 15 days of delivery at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return
- We’ll email you a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and instructions
- Package the item securely in its original packaging with the RAN clearly visible
- Ship the package to our address (return shipping is at your expense unless the return is due to our error)
- Once received and inspected, we’ll process your refund or exchange

Refund Processing
Once your return is received and inspected (typically within 3-5 business days), we’ll notify you of the approval status.
- Refund Method: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Processing Time: 5-10 business days after approval (depending on your financial institution)
- Shipping Costs: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
Exchanges
For exchanges of the same value:
- Follow the standard return process above
- In your email, specify the replacement item(s) you’d like
- We’ll ship the new item once the return is received
For exchanges of higher value, you’ll need to place a new order after your return is processed.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your fishing gear arrives damaged or incorrect:
- Contact us immediately at [email protected] with photos of the damage/incorrect item
- We’ll arrange for a prepaid return label if needed
- You’ll receive priority processing for replacement or refund
International Returns
For our international anglers (excluding certain Asian and remote regions):
- You’re responsible for return shipping costs and any customs fees
- We recommend using a trackable shipping service
- Refunds will exclude original shipping costs
